What can I expect on my first visit?
You will have an opportunity to thoroughly describe and explain your pain and problems. We will discuss all the events and circumstances relative to the onset of your condition. Then, a physical examination will be performed which will include vital signs, orthopedic, neurologic and chiropractic testing. Imaging studies such as xray, laboratory analysis and other diagnostic procedures may be called for. A careful spinal examination and analysis will be performed to detect any structural abnormalities which may be affecting or causing your condition. Additionally, your upper and lower extremities (arms and legs) will be examined. All of these elements are important components of your total health profile, and essential for evaluating your problem to determine the need for chiropractic treatment or referral.
My office, aka The Chiropractic Balance Center, offers a variety of treatment, including spinal and extremity manipulation, electronic or needle acupuncture and physical medicine modalities such as ultrasound, electronic muscle stimulation and traction. Joint and muscle/fascia mobilization is often performed using the Impulse iQ adjusting instrument. Additionally, stretching and exercise advice, healthful lifestyle suggestions, breathing and relaxation technique training, meditation and other stress reduction recommendations are available. The goal is always relief, improved function and better health.
Does your office accept insurance?
Yes. I am "in network" for most insurance plans. You can call the toll-free number on your insurance card with questions about your chiropractic and acupuncture benefit. I do not accept Medicare nor Medicare supplements.
An appointment can usually be scheduled within 24 hours.
